Magic Mountain Ski Area has announced the promotion of Director of Mountain Operations Paul Maitland to general manager. With this promotion, all business-unit and operations managers will report directly to Maitland.

“Paul has earned the respect of our staff in not only successfully managing the mountain operations group but also bringing more staff input into all aspects of the business as we keep evolving Magic’s growth strategy through the end of this decade and beyond,” President Geoff Hatheway said.

Christopher Constantino, a former associate attorney at Adler & McCabe in St. Johnsbury, has joined the Burlington-based law firm Paul Frank + Collins as an associate on its insurance services team.

Constantino is a graduate of Sacred Heart University and holds a law degree from Vermont Law and Graduate School, where he worked with the South Royalton Legal Clinic and as a teaching assistant. After law school, he served as a judicial law clerk with the Delaware Family Court.

Charlotte Oliver, a rising senior at the University of Vermont, has been awarded a coveted scholarship for aspiring journalists from the New England Newspaper and Press Association. This honor, bestowed through the association's Journalism Education Foundation of New England, aims to support and foster young talent pursuing careers in journalism.
