Hilliard joins AARP Vermont as director of advocacy and outreach

Colin Hilliard, former deputy director of the Burlington Business Association, has been appointed director of advocacy and outreach at AARP Vermont. He brings to his new role years of experience in local advocacy efforts, specifically on housing, zoning and public-safety issues as well as in digital and field organizing.

VCWA to honor Donna Carpenter as 2024 Person of the Year

Donna Carpenter, owner of Burton Snowboards, one of the world's leading designers and manufacturers of products for snowboarding and the outdoors, will be honored as 2024 Person of the Year by the Vermont Council on World Affairs at the organization's International Day of Peace Summit Sept. 25 in Burlington.
