Vernal Biosciences appoints Jim Petrilla as CEO, board director
Jim Petrilla, founding CEO of BioAgilytix Labs in Durham, North Carolina, has been named CEO and board director at Colchester-based Vernal Biosciences, a leader in mRNA and lipid nanoparticle development, manufacturing and analytics.
Petrilla succeeds founding CEO Christian Cobaugh, who will continue with the company as chief scientific officer and board director, focusing on advancing Vernal’s scientific and technological capabilities to further excellence in innovation.

Ran Lahav, distinguished professor of philosophy at Vermont State University, has been awarded a Fulbright scholarship that will support his academic work at West University of Timisoara in Romania next spring.
During his time in Romania, Lahav will deliver a series of presentations, workshops and conferences, focusing on his pioneering work in “deep philosophy.” This innovative practice, which he founded and has been developing for nearly two decades, involves a profound and personal engagement with philosophical ideas and texts.
