Three business leaders join VBSR board of directors
Business leaders Rooney Castle, Ashley Laporte and Eliza Leeper have joined the board of directors at Vermont Businesses for Social Responsibility, a statewide, nonprofit business association.
Castle, president and CEO at Rhino Foods, is a regular volunteer at Feeding Chittenden, recently began participating in King Street Center's Book Buddy Program, and has served on the board of the Vermont Children's Trust Foundation. He is a graduate of St. Lawrence University in upstate New York.
UCS names new director of children, youth and family services
Jenna Struble, former executive director at the New England Center for Circus Arts in Brattleboro, has been named director of children, youth and family services at United Counseling Service, a private, nonprofit community mental health center serving Bennington County.
Northfield Savings CEO announces plans to step down in fall
Thomas Leavitt, president and CEO at Northfield Savings Bank, has announced plans to retire in early fall. He has served as NSB's 14th president since Oct. 1, 2014.
Leavitt previously served as president and CEO at MountainOne Financial in Massachusetts and as executive vice president at Merchants Bank in Vermont. He is a graduate of the University of New Hampshire and holds an MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
