Vermont Land Trust welcomes four new trustees

Dawn Morgan (pictured), Fred Nelson, Karin Chamberlain and Paul Costello have been elected to the board of trustees of the Vermont Land Trust, a statewide nonprofit organization focused on land conservation in Vermont.

Morgan, of Greensboro, works in a family consulting business providing forestry, ecology, land management and mapping services to Vermont landowners. Her work includes GIS mapping, forest inventory, ecological assessments and landowner communication.

VTDigger, UVM Center for Community News welcome award-winning reporter

Award-winning journalist Austyn Gaffney has joined VTDigger and the University of Vermont’s Center for Community News through a new reporting and instructing partnership. Gaffney recently completed a fellowship on The New York Times’ climate desk, where she produced stories on federal policy changes, rising sea levels, extreme weather events and more.
