Rowan Wilde Riggs honored with VCIL youth leader award

Rowan Wilde Riggs, a neurodivergent poet and activist, has been named recipient of the 2025 Deborah Lisi-Baker Youth Leader Award by the Vermont Center for Independent Living. The award honors young Vermonters who demonstrate exceptional leadership, advocacy and commitment to justice and inclusion.

Riggs was recognized for his powerful storytelling and advocacy. His recent work, "Poetry Atomic Wonder," and contributions to Times Ink Vermont, the Vermont Studio Center and Poetry Magazine exemplify his impact as a cultural and community voice.

Community Care Network appoints Conti as chief financial officer

Stephen Conti, former director of finance at Gifford Health Care, has been named chief financial officer at Community Care Network. He succeeds Jim DiCosimo, who is set to retire in June after serving the agency since 2016.

In his new role, Conti will be responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of the organization, including financial planning, reporting, analysis and strategy, as well as management of CCN’s finance, billing, facilities and information technology departments. He is a graduate of St. Michael's College.
