Local Motion, a statewide advocate for active transportation, vibrant communities and safe streets, has hired Richard Amore as programs director and Marcie Gallagher as Complete Streets specialist.
Amore joins Local Motion from the U.S. Department of Agriculture Rural Development program, where he served as community and economic development representative. He holds a bachelor's degree in environmental design, a master's degree in community planning and a master's degree in landscape architecture from Auburn University in Alabama.
Larose named Shelburne Village branch manager at Union Bank
Joe Larose, former transactions supervisor at JPMorgan Chase & Co., has been appointed branch manager at Union Bank’s Shelburne Village location.

Brattleboro Retreat employees honored for excellence in communication, education
Brattleboro Retreat staff members Dr. Jarred Zucker, Kurt White and Mary Wilson were recently honored for outstanding achievements in their respective fields.
Zucker, medical staff president, was named 2024 Faculty Teacher of the Year by the Department of Psychiatry at Dartmouth College’s Geisel School of Medicine. The award honors Zucker's commitment, compassion and consistent excellence in teaching medical students.
