Norwich graduate nominated as Air Force vice chief of staff
Norwich University graduate Gen. Thomas A. Bussiere, commander of the Air Force Global Strike Command since December 2022, has been nominated to serve as vice chief of staff of the Air Force.
The nomination, submitted by the White House to the U.S. Senate on July 15, now awaits confirmation by the Senate Armed Services Committee. If confirmed, Bussiere, a 1985 Norwich graduate, will become the second-highest ranking officer in the Air Force. He would report to Air Force Chief of Staff Gen. David Allvin.
