NPI Technology Management, an integrated information technology services company in South Burlington, has hired Ken White as a security administrator.

White's technology experience includes working as a developer, principal architect and director at Pervasive Software, since acquired by Actian. Most recently, he served as pastor at College Street Congregational Church in Burlington.

Passumpsic Bank has appointed Renee Powers as branch manager of its Lyndonville and Island Pond offices. A bank employee since 2005, Powers previously served as assistant vice president and branch manager at Passumpsic's Littleton and Whitefield locations.

Since her promotion to branch manager in 2021, Powers has consistently demonstrated outstanding leadership, a strong commitment to customer service and a collaborative approach to team development, bank officials said.

Manchester Business Association has appointed Valeria Ryan, a veteran of Vermont's hospitality, nonprofit, corporate and resort sectors, as its new events manager. In her new role, she will oversee the planning and implementation of a wide range of programming, including business forums, networking mixers, seasonal festivals and signature community events.

Burke Mountain Resort has hired hotel industry veteran Dennis Barquinero as general manager of the Burke Mountain Hotel. Barquinero joins Burke from Vail Resorts, where he served as senior director of lodging operations at the company’s mid-Atlantic and Northeast resorts, including Liberty Mountain in Pennsylvania, Hunter Mountain in New York, and Mount Snow and Okemo Mountain, both in Vermont.
