Nancy Heydinger, founder and former executive director of Girls on the Run Vermont, a statewide youth-development program for girls in third through eighth grades, has been appointed program manager of the Edge of Leadership program at High 5 Adventure Learning Center in Brattleboro.
Heydinger brings to her new position more than 20 years of youth-development leadership and program-management expertise. At Girls on the Run Vermont, Heydinger significantly expanded the program's reach and impact, empowering countless young girls across the state.
"Nancy’s background in developing and managing impactful programs will be a tremendous asset as she leads the EOL program, which focuses on equipping students and educators with the skills and confidence to connect with others, empower themselves and others, and recognize and develop their leadership potential," the organization said in a release.
The Edge of Leadership program is designed to help students — and their teachers — connect and communicate in new and positive ways, open doors and improve school culture.
