The Lamoille Housing Partnership announces the appointment of three new members to its Board of Directors. Joining the Board of Directors are David Ford, Jennifer Burton, and Marilyn Zphar. “All three of our newest Board members embody the spirit of community and bring talent, expertise and energy to LHP. We are very fortunate to have them by our side as we continue to strengthen communities in the Lamoille County, and the Town of Hardwick.” Jim Lovinsky, Executive Director.
David Ford is the owner of Evergreen Consulting, LLC, providing services in Organizational Development and Leadership in Morrisville. He has invested a large portion of his life in the community. Mr Ford has served as a Director at Vermont Education Leadership Alliance in Montpelier, and has held the positions of Co-Superintendent and Principal in three different schools over the course of 20 years. The areas he served include Orleans Southwest Supervisory Union in Hardwick, Frederick H Tuttle Middle School in South Burlington, Hazen Union School in Hardwick, and Craftsbury Schools in Craftsbury. He resides in Morrisville.
Marilyn Zophar has lived in Lamoille County most of her life. She was both a teacher and administrator in the public school system for over 35 years. Marilyn is currently teaching at the Lamoille Family Center's “Families Learning Together” program to assist young pregnant and/or parenting adults in earning a high school diploma. She is also a mother of four, grandmother of 11, and resides in Hyde Park.
Jennifer Burton is a longtime Johnson resident. Prior to joining LHP board, she has been serving as a Justice of the Peace in Johnson, in addition to serving on the Johnson Arts Council and VITA-Learn boards. She works at Hazen Union School in Hardwick as an Educational Technology Specialist.
The Lamoille Housing Partnership is a nonprofit organization created in 1991 to provide and maintain safe, decent and affordable housing through rental, home ownership, or other means to low and moderate income persons and families living within Lamoille County and the Town of Hardwick, and to provide such assistance without discrimination or prejudice.
