The Institute of Professional Practice, Inc, a non-profit human services organization that serves adults and children with developmental disabilities announced today the addition of a new member to its Board of Directors. Steven Karcher was installed on November 8, 2016 as the organization’s newest board member. Current Board of Directors chairman, Michael Chater, states that, “IPPI is very excited by the addition of Steve Karcher. He is a highly qualified professional who will bring valuable skills and experiences to our organization”.
Steve brings a wealth of non-profit experience to IPPI’s board. He is currently the Treasurer General/CFO at the Society of Saint Edmund’s in Colchester. Previously he was the CFO at Stone Environmental, Inc in Montpelier and Vice President for Business, Administration, Operations, and Sustainability at Berea College in Berea, Kentucky. Steve has also served on various non-profit boards in Kentucky, New York, and Vermont.
Lou Giramma, IPPI’s Chief Executive Officer said, “We are all very excited that Steve has agreed to join IPPI’s board. Serving on a non-profit board is very difficult. It involves a great deal of time and energy. It requires a great commitment to carry forth the mission of the Agency. Steve brings with him a new perspective and IPPI is very fortunate to have him.”
