VBA hires first ever Festival & Marketing Manager

The Vermont Brewers Association (VBA) has selected Amy Cronin, of Stowe VT, as the organization’s Festival and Marketing Manager. The VBA is a craft brewery nonprofit membership organization based in Burlington. The Association is most well known for their Brewery Challenge Passport Program and hosting the annual Vermont Brewers Festival on Burlington’s waterfront. Cronin is the Association’s first Festival and Marketing Manager. Previously, the position was contracted out to a third party event firm. As Festival and Marketing Manager Cronin is responsible for the coordination and execution of the Vermont Brewers Festival, the development of a Winter Brewers Festival and a week-long celebration of craft beer in May and implementing all of the Association’s marketing efforts.

Cronin comes to the VBA with extensive project management and event planning experience. Her commitment to achieving excellence in the nonprofit sector is demonstrated by ten years of tireless marketing and fundraising work at Lund and Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. Cronin’s proven success in thinking creatively and executing large and small-scale events alike deeply impressed the VBA Hiring Committee. “I am thrilled that Amy has accepted our employment offer at the VBA to fill our newly formed Festival and Marketing Manager position. Her tenacity throughout the hiring process and passion for our industry made it clear that she was the top candidate. I am confident that she will bring new energy to our existing festival and lead the creation of exceptional VBA events year-round that our members will be proud to attend,” said Melissa Corbin, VBA Executive Director. With Cronin’s expertise the VBA will further develop its events calendar, continue to increase the Association’s visibility and maintain the Vermont Brewers Festival’s reputation of being a world-class beer festival.
