Vermont Youth Orchestra Association Holiday Tradition Orchestra Chorus Palooza Dec 10

-A A +A

The Vermont Youth Orchestra Association (VYOA) performs its organization-wide concert, OrchestraChorusPalooza, on December 10, 2017 at 4:00pm at the Flynn Center for the Performing Arts.
Hear over 200 of our region’s most talented young musicians come together for this annual VYOA tradition. Musicians from the VYOA’s three orchestras and two choruses perform exciting selections by composers such as Tchaikovsky, Bizet, and Rossini. The highlight of the concert will be a combined orchestra and chorus performance of music from Aaron Copland’s Appalachian Spring.
Tickets are available at or call 86-Flynn. With a mission “to develop young people as artists, citizens, and leaders through the shared pursuit of musical excellence,” the VYOA is committed to providing instrumental and choral experiences for students of all ages, abilities, and backgrounds. Over 300 students in grades 1 – 12 from across Vermont and neighboring states participate in our three orchestras, two choruses, a beginning string ensemble, community engagement programs, and summer camps, making the VYOA our region’s premier youth orchestra and chorus program. All of our students leave the VYOA with a respect for music, for learning, and for the arts; attributes that will enhance and inform their adult lives in our communities and beyond.
