To Support Candidates Prioritizing Child Care

Vermont Business Magazine Let’s Grow Kids Action Network announced the launch of the Vote Child Care Fund  Political Action Committee. The Vote Child Care Fund was created to support candidates who prioritize passing laws that aim to transform Vermont’s child care system.

The Vote Child Care Fund is a separate segregated fund of Let’s Grow Kids Action Network which is a 501(c)(4) organization building the political will necessary to pass laws that fund and sustain a high-quality, affordable child care system.

In its first filing Friday, the Vote Child Care Fund reported a total raise to date of $22,265.

“Historic turnover in the Legislature, as well as in state and federal offices this year, has created an unprecedented opportunity to shape the future of Vermont by electing leaders who are ready to take swift action to invest in a child care system that works for everyone. The policy framework is in place, Vermonters have raised their voices, and now more than ever, Vermont stands closer to achieving real child care system transformation,” said Aly Richards, chair of the Let’s Grow Kids Action Network board (and CEO of Let’s Grow Kids). “Through the Vote Child Care Fund, we are excited to support candidates who are child care champions and who will continue to prioritize investments in Vermont’s youngest children, their families, and our economic future.”

Let’s Grow Kids Action Network and the Vote Child Care Fund PAC look forward to working with candidates who share this vision and are committed to voting for the investment needed to create a child care system that is affordable for families and supports fair compensation for early childhood educators.
