Vermont Business Magazine Vergennes Day kicks off its 40th year on Friday, August 26th and continues Saturday August 27th. The weekend’s activities are hosted by the Addison County Chamber of Commerce, the City of Vergennes and presented by Vermont Gas Systems and sponsored by multiple area businesses. Vergennes Day is a celebration of the city and community to be enjoyed by all ages.

The weekend kicks off on Friday August 26th with a street dance on the City Green featuring music by “The Hitmen” and sponsored by One Credit Union. The street dance runs from 7:00 – 10:00 pm and features food from the 3 Squares Café Food Truck.

Activities continue Saturday and take place between 7:00am and 3:00pm. The day begins with a pancake breakfast at the Vergennes Fire Station from 7:00 – 10:00am. The “Little City Races” 5K, 10K and 15K’s kickoff at 8:30 and 9:00am with on-site registration available at 7:30 at Vergennes Union Elementary School. Other activities include free wagon rides sponsored by Vermont Federal Credit Union, and events hosted by the Bixby Library and Vergennes Rotary. The bandstand will feature music throughout the day.

From 10:00 am to 3:00 pm the City Green is also the site of more than 55 crafters and vendors booths offering fine handcrafts, locally made products, food and more.

Vergennes Day wouldn’t be possible without the generous support of its sponsors: The City of Vergennes, Vermont Gas Systems, Casella, Gaines Insurance, Kennedy Brothers, One Credit Union, Vermont Federal Credit Union, and Vergennes Residential Care
