Vermont Business Magazine The Burlington International Airport (BTV) announced today that American Airlines will be offering service to Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) beginning in July 2021. The new service complements American’s service between Burlington and its hubs in Philadelphia (PHL), Chicago (ORD), Charlotte (CLT) and Washington National (DCA).
Service to Dallas/Fort Worth provided by American will be seasonal, with weekly Saturday service beginning July 3rd, 2021.
“We are pleased to add new service between Burlington and American’s largest hub in Dallas-Fort Worth just in time for summer,” said Brian Znotins, American Airlines Vice President of Network Planning. “This new route will complement our existing service from BTV and we look forward to welcoming even more local travelers to fly with us while further connecting Vermont to our global network.”
The Dallas/Fort Worth market is the fifth largest market currently not being served by a direct flight from BTV. American Airlines focuses on providing valued destinations to travelers in our region, and this new service will provide direct access to over 130 markets that American currently serves from Dallas/Fort Worth, including the Los Angeles Basin, San Francisco Bay Area, and Seattle. This announcement comes at a crucial time, as travel restrictions begin to lift.
