Walter Cabell Shooting Range Opens for Sighting In Rifles on October 17, 18
 
The Vermont Fish and Wildlife Department will open its Walter Cabell Shooting Range in Woodbury to the public for hunters to sight in their rifles on Saturday and Sunday, October 17 and 18 from 11:30am-3:30pm.
 
Shooters will be required to follow all rules including range rules and current COVID-19 guidelines. Read more >>

The VT Fish & Wildlife Department will also hold a Rifle Sight-in Seminar and Demonstration on Saturday, October 17 at 10am prior to the range opening for the public. Preregistration is required for this seminar.
Youth and Novice Weekend Hunters Encouraged to Bring Their Deer to Biological Check Stations Oct. 24, 25
 
The Vermont Fish and Wildlife Department will have personnel at the 17 biological reporting stations during youth and novice weekend.
 
VTF&W Announces Option for Online Turkey Harvest Reporting Effective October 24 
 
All successful hunters during Vermont’s fall turkey hunting seasons must, by law, report their turkey within 48 hours to the Vermont Fish and Wildlife Department.
