Burlington, Vt. — Community Bank N.A. recently presented a $1,500 donation to Howard Center & South Burlington Rotary Club to support its 2019 Curling Challenge. The competition will be put on by both organizations and take place Saturday, March 16 at Cairns Arena in South Burlington. All proceeds from the event will support Howard Center services and Rotary activities.

Commercial Banking Officer David Blow said. “Both Howard Center and South Burlington Rotary Club offer programs and services that support our neighbors who need it most. As community members, it’s our responsibility to ensure these organizations can continue the great work that they do by supporting their efforts. Howard Center was founded in 1865 as an agency to serve the widows and orphans of the civil war at the Home for Destitute Children. South Burlington Rotary Club was founded in 1986 and is a member of rotary’s global network of more than 35,000 clubs. Rotary members work together to promote peace, fight disease, support education and grow local economies.
