16th Annual Vermont Business Growth Awards winners honored at celebration in Burlington

Vermont Business MagazineAn awards ceremony and reception presented by Vermont Business Magazine and KeyBank was held Wednesday, September 12^th, at the Hilton Burlington. John Boutin, Publisher, Vermont Business Magazine, Don Baker, President, KeyBank Vermont and Governor Phil Scott were on hand to present the awards. The winners, their employees and guest were entertained by Game Show Vermont during the celebration.

About the Vermont Business Growth Awards:

Since 1987 Vermont Business Magazine (VBM) has published each January the Vermont 100+, an annual ranking of Vermont’s largest local businesses based on annual revenues. From this data, VBM and KeyBank developed the VermontGrowth Awards to honor the fastest growing companies over the past five years. The companies being recognized are not judged for their accomplishments, they are recognized by looking at the data that VBM accumulated when we put together our Vermont 100+ list. They survey Vermont companies to come up with the largest Vermont companies based on sales for the previous year. They now can look at the fastest growing companies over five, ten, fifteen, twenty, twenty-five and thirty years.

There were two companies honored that have made the list for ten consecutive years, ASIC North and Logic Supply. In addition, there is one company who has been on the list for the last five consecutive years or more, Against the Grain Gourmet. The eight companies who are new to the list this year are, Caledonia Sprits (#1 Overall), Four Seasons Sotheby’s International Realty, GW Plastics, Hayden Plumbing & Heating Inc, PC Construction, University of Vermont Medical Center, Union Mutual of Vermont and VMS Construction.
