POW/MIA Recognition Day Ceremony at Camp Johnson Sept 17

The Vermont National Guard and Vermont State Guard are scheduled to hold a POW/MIA Recognition Day Ceremony at 11 a.m. – noon on Friday in the museum located just outside Camp Johnson, Colchester, Vermont.

What: The Vermont National Guard and Vermont State Guard are hosting a POW/MIA recognition day ceremony with guest speakers, wreath-laying, and recognition of attending POWs.
When: Friday, Sept. 17, 11 a.m. – noon.
Where: Vermont National Guard Museum, 789 Vermont National Guard Rd. Colchester, Vt.
Who: Vermont’s Chapter Number 1 American Ex-Prisoners of War, State Government Officials, Vermont National Guard, Vermont State Guard.
Why: The Vermont National Guard observes National POW/MIA Recognition Day on the third Friday of September along with other military organizations throughout the United States. Vermont Ex-POWs attend the event at Camp Johnson and this event allows us to honor their sacrifices.
