VTIFF is pleased to announce the 2020 Vermont International Film Festival, October 23rd to November 1st. Now in its 35th year, the largest film festival in Vermont takes place virtually this year.
We will be presenting 12 films and 6 live stream discussions. This year’s festival will have a special focus on news media, reporting and journalism in a democracy. The festival’s dates this year, only a few days before the general elections, have guided the curation of the program. The festival will include both classical fiction films and contemporary documentaries, between them covering all main news media - radio, television, printed press and social media. The 6 discussions will each address a pair of films and the panelists will include filmmakers and journalists. A full list of panelists and moderators can be found on vtiff.org
This 10-day celebration of cinema and community takes place virtually on VTIFF’s new virtual platform, with our own Roku and AppleTV apps. The full schedule is now available online for viewing and passes purchase.. Visit vtiff.org
