State of Vermont’s Water: 9th Annual Conference
Registration is now open for the fall conference, to be held online, October 27 from 8:30am to 12:30pm. The 9 th annual conference will focus on the State of Vermont’s Water with topics that include polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) studies in Vermont and PFAS issues as well as other potential contaminants. Agency of Natural Resources Secretary Julie Moore will open the program with an overview of Act 21 relating to the regulation of PFAS in drinking and surface waters in Vermont.
The first session will feature speakers from Department of Environmental Conservation who will talk about PFAS in landfill leachate, biofuels, and wastewater. The next session will focus on other contaminants, including arsenic and chloride in drinking water and wells. The final session features PFAS occurrence, testing, and treatment presented by business leaders. Topics include PFAS water treatment technology, PFAS toolbox for consultants, PFAS risks and basis for water standards, and PFAS in drinking water and other media. Each session will be followed by Q&A and an opportunity to hear from our sponsors.
