Leahy Hosts 24th Annual Women’s Economic Opportunity Conference

With Keynote Address By Xusana Davis

The annual Women’s Economic Opportunity Conference is virtual this year. Senator Leahy has invited Vermont Executive Director of Racial Equity Xusana Davis to give the keynote address. Following Ms. Davis’s remarks, three Vermont business leaders will speak to Evolving in a World of Change: Best Practices for a Business Refocus. Abby Lechthaler who founded Downtown Grocery in Ludlow, Akshata Nayak owner of Little Patakha, a children’s media brand promoting diversity, and Julia Birnn Fields, the fourth generation owner of Birnn Chocolates, will share their expertise. Gwen Pokalo, Director of the Vermont Center for Women and Enterprise, will moderate the panel.
