Discover Slow Food Vermont with the Vermont Italian Cultural Association
When: November 16, 2021; 7-8:00pm
Where: A virtual presentation on Zoom
What: A presentation given by Mara Welton, Slow Food USA Director of Programs and Slow Food USA State Governor for Vermont. Mara will share the inspiring history of the Slow Food movement, from its origins in Italy to how it spread across the globe as well as the movement's far reaching and visionary programs. She will tell the story of Slow Food Vermont, and how the mission of promoting good, clean and fair food for all is being nurtured here in the Green Mountains through the many programs and partnerships over the years. Slow Food Vermont has the distinction of being the first Slow Food USA chapter, and truly embodies the mission statement: Vermonters creating community through the celebration of good, clean and fair food for all both locally and globally. The event is being presented in partnership with the Vermont Italian Cultural Association. The event is free but you must register in advance at Vermont Italian Cultural Association.
