UVM Integrative Health, the College of Nursing and Health Sciences and UVM Medical Center are co-hosting a conference for the health care community aimed at helping providers understand non-pharmacologic approaches to pain management.
"This conference is an essential aspect of reducing opioid prescriptions and addiction in the community, providing patient-centered care, reducing health care costs and improving health outcomes. The pandemic has brought to light that now, more than ever, providing integrative treatments for pain, anxiety and depression is crucially important," said Cara Feldman-Hunt, program manager for UVM Integrative Health.
The conference will be held remotely on Friday, May 7. It is open to participants nationwide. Participants will be able to access materials at a later time. Conference details can be found here: go.uvm.edu/integrativepain2021
