The Capitol Plaza Hotel and Conference Center in Montpelier will be “Wearin’ the Green” on Friday March 15 as the Central Vermont Chamber of Commerce congratulates, recognizes and thanks Norwich University President Richard Schneider for his leadership and contributions to Central Vermont. Dr Schneider has will be honored at The Chamber’s Third Annual Saint Patrick’s Day Breakfast. The event is open to the public.
A 1968 graduate of the US Coast Guard Academy, Dr. Schneider was commissioned as an ensign in the Coast Guard and served eight years of active duty, including a tour of Vietnam. Dr. Schneider retired from the Coast Guard Reserve as a Rear Admiral. In July 1992, Dr. Schneider became the 23rd President of Norwich University. Since then, he has championed Norwich’s charge to distinguish the University in the marketplace of higher education institutions by educating and preparing students to be global leaders in the private sector, government and the military.
Guest speakers include: Tom Leavitt, President, Northfield Savings Bank; David Magida, Norwich University Chief Administrative Officer and Phil Susmann, Norwich VP of Strategic Partnerships.
