The Climate Action Film Festival (CAFF) by SunCommon, today announced their 2021 event will be an online festival running March 2nd-12th.
The second annual Climate Action Film Festival (CAFF) by SunCommon is a celebration of short films with a focus on solutions to the climate crisis. It is the first festival of its kind to exclusively feature storytelling around solutions rather than simply the impacts of climate change.
“We’re building on the momentum from 2020’s CAFF debut, there is clearly a huge desire to engage with climate action through films and filmmaking. Storytelling through film carries a lot of weight, it can change minds, inspire action and create unity.” says Patrick McCormack, Storyteller at SunCommon and CAFF Creative Director.
“SunCommon has always had a foundation in storytelling but our small voice is unmatched for the crisis we’re facing. Through CAFF, we are uniting other voices with a shared mission to inspire and affect change.”
The two week festival will feature both short film programs and feature films as well as action nights where participants can focus on how to get involved in climate action locally. Tickets are available in advance at the cost of a “pay what you can” donation. Proceeds from ticket sales go to support our partners, 350 Vermont and New York Renews to support their work in organizing for local climate action in 2021
At SunCommon, we believe that everyone has the right to a brighter future powered by renewable energy; and we know that storytelling can inspire people to move toward that future.” Says Duane Peterson, Co-President and Founder of SunCommon. “After the success of our first Climate Action Film Festival, we’re excited to welcome an even larger audience by making it available online. It’s great to be able to bring these stories to folks wherever they are.”
Tickets are available for purchase on a pay what you can donation basis at
