vTerra Farms is hosting a fundraiser to benefit the GCS Project, a cancer foundation with a mission to provide help and hope for women with gynecological carcinosarcoma tumors. The GCS Project provides educational information to patients, families and clinicians, offering patient advocacy, and supporting innovative research by fostering collaborations among scientists, clinicians and families.
The event will take place on Friday evening, September 17th at vTerra Farms, located at 205 Cemetery road off route 116 in Starksboro. All profits from ticket and alcohol sales will go directly to the GCS Project. Attendees will be served a full plate of freshly smoked pulled pork, an array of vegetarian sides made with crops harvested from vTerra Farms, and local beer will be available for purchase. Live music will be performed during dinner by Colombian classical guitarist Daniel Gaviria, and after dinner guests will enjoy the music of Brujo Maiz Vargas Sandoval of Costa Rica, and his seven-piece Latin dance band. A few local businesses are generously donating their goods and services to support the cause, including Tipsy Pickles, Vantage Press, with several more undergoing confirmation.
