After several successful winter and spring events, the NEK YPN is back after a short summer break with several events and initiatives.
Join the NEK YPN for its first family-friendly event in Lyndonville. “Picnic at the Playground” will be held Thursday, Aug. 15, from 5 to 7 p.m., at the Lyndon Town School playground, 2591 Lily Pond Road, Lyndon. A rain location will be announced via Facebook if necessary.
Grab a meal at local businesses such as The White Market, Subway or Mosaic or pack your own picnic and come network with other families while the kids play. Please bring a bag for garbage to keep the playground clean.
On Tuesday, Aug. 20, the NEK YPN will host an afternoon for new educators and friends in Newport at the Goodrich Library, 202 Main St. Meet at the Goodrich Library at 4 p.m. for a tour of Main Street, join new and old friends in the foyer of Newport Natural Foods for a tour of The Work Commons at 4:30 p.m. and then head over to The Tasting Center building at 5 p.m. for a tour of Eden Specialty Ciders and a mixer from 5 to 7 p.m. There will be ice cider flights for purchase as well as music from The Beardos, featuring Nate Graves & Jay Natola.
