Equity Solutions in Recovery Work
We know that poverty, racism, and gender discrimination impact our communities and negatively affect health outcomes and access to substance use treatment and recovery. Many of us struggle within these harmful systems ourselves. Join Equity Solutions, VRN and Recovery Vermont to better understand how economic, racial, and gender discrimination operate, how they’re connected, and how we can use tools to decrease bias and stigma and work towards inclusion and equity for everyone.
In this workshop we will use a trauma-informed equity lens to move beyond assumptions so we can build more collaborative relationships across class, race, and gender differences, challenge limited beliefs about what is possible in our work, and identify solutions based on the expertise of people most impacted. This interactive workshop includes stories, activities, small group discussion, and resources for making change.
