OpenTempo CEO meets with Vermont business leaders at Vermont 2020

Rich Miller, CEO of OpenTempo, Inc. will be speaking at noon at the April 1 meeting of Vermont 2020, taking place in Burlington at the Lake Champlain Chamber of Commerce (60 Main Street).
Vermont 2020 holds monthly discussions with Chittenden County business leaders. Founded by Eric Hanson, President of Hanson & Doremus Investment Management, and Art Woolf, Editor of The Vermont Economy Newsletter, the group has been meeting continuously since 1996. Meetings have no political or economic agenda, but serve as a place where local leaders can discuss how individual companies are developing new products and employment opportunities. Broader topics, such as health care and the Vermont economy, also appear on the agenda.
Miller will be presenting on his company’s solutions for medical staff scheduling and workforce efficiency. In addition, he will talk about the trends in healthcare to manage labor costs in the face of declining reimbursement. His company, OpenTempo, has seen tremendous growth in the past year, and has added 20% more employees in 2014.
“By helping hospitals and medical practices make their physician and nurse scheduling more efficient, OpenTempo reduces staffing costs, which typically make up over 50% of their operating budgets,” says Miller. “We see this as a great example of Vermont leading the way on reducing healthcare costs.”
Vermont 2020 meets the first Tuesday of each month at the Lake Champlain Chamber of Commerce, 60 Main Street, Burlington. Rich Miller will be speaking April 1 at noon.
