Bowling and Volk join board of the Northern Forests Center

Tabitha Bowling of East Burke, Vermont, has joined the Board of Directors the Northern Forest Center. Bowling was a founding partner and former COO of Bungalow, LLC, a casual lifestyle brand. Under her management sales grew from $800K to $8M over 6 years. She continues to manage the company’s overseas sourcing, production and quality assurance activities, as well as advise the executive team. After moving with her family to East Burke, Bowling was introduced to wood pellet heating through a tour of the Burke Town School’s newly installed wood pellet heating system. Her commitment to sustainable living, community and the local economy led Bowling to co-found Kingdom Pellets, LLC, to fund and execute an expansion strategy of several community-scale super premium softwood pellet mills.

Tim Volk, of Vermont, has also joined the Board of Directors the Northern Forest Center in Concord. Volk is a business leader with more than 30 years of broad-based consumer marketing experience in areas including energy, hospitality and telecommunications. Volk is now a partner, advisor and shareholder of KSV, a regional marketing communications firm formerly known as Kelliher Samets Volk, where he served as president. Volk has served on corporate and non-profit boards over two decades, providing his expertise in marketing, branding, strategic planning, corporate governance and more. He chaired the Vermont Community Fund and the Vermont Business Roundtable, and served as advisor to several Vermont businesses.
