Vermont Business Magazine For the 12th year in a row, Bavarian Autosport, of Portsmouth, NH, held a raffle for the benefit of Susan G Komen, and the local Susan G Komen Vermont-New Hampshire Affiliate and the Komen New Hampshire Race for the Cure. Linda Maness, Executive Director of Susan G Komen Vermont-New Hampshire, gratefully announced the receipt of Bavarian Autosport's big, bold check in the amount of $16,196.43. "On behalf of Susan G Komen, and more specifically Susan G Komen Vermont-New Hampshire, I am pleased to thank everyone at Bavarian Autosport, and all those that took part in the raffle. This is an amazing donation!”
Jessica Francis, Finance and Administrative Service Manager at Bavarian Autosport, said, "We are very proud of our fundraising efforts and are thrilled we were able to make another significant contribution this year.” Over the previous 11 years, Bavarian Autosport had raised $93,000 for the cause. This latest donation brings their total to nearly $110,000.
In addition to hosting the Komen New Hampshire Race for the Cure (May 13, 2017), the local Komen affiliate funds breast health programs, breast cancer screening, medical supplies, financial assistance, and patient and family support. In closing, Francis added, "We applaud what your organization does to increase awareness and support those affected by this devastating disease. We look forward to working with you in the future."
