Vermont Business Magazine Common Senses, a therapeutic bodywork studio, is now open for business in Craftsbury Common. Common Senses is owned and operated by Emily Kniffin, a nationally certified massage therapist and certified craniosacral therapist. Kniffin has 18 years experience practicing therapeutic bodywork.
“Common Senses is dedicated to health and healing on the personal and planetary level,” says Kniffin. “I work individually with clients, but hope that the sense of awareness, connection, and relaxation experienced on the massage table permeates each facet of your life and positively influences your family, community, and our world.”
Kniffin specializes in CranioSacral Therapy, a gentle, hands-on therapy focused on identifying and releasing tension in the nervous system and connective tissue. She also offers individualized treatment sessions based on each client’s unique needs and concerns. Kniffin offers acupressure, Swedish massage, reflexology, Reiki, hot stones, aromatherapy, deep tissue massage, and relaxation techniques.
Kniffin says, “Theraputic Bodywork can be as important as regular exercise, healthful food, and good sleep when it comes to your wellness. The sensitive, strong, and skilled hands at Common Senses can show you how touch is both food and medicine.”
The Common Senses studio is located at 187 Mountain Hill Road in Craftsbury Common. Sessions are available by appointment only. Appointments can be booked through their website, www.commonsensesmassage.com; gift certificates are also available online. There is a scholarship fund available for those in need of financial assistance for therapeutic bodywork.
