Make-A-Wish Vermont announces multi-year partnership with TPW Real Estate

Vermont Business Magazine Make-A-Wish Vermont has announced a partnership with TPW Real Estate for a multi-year commitment that will fund a wish a year over the next five years. Make-A-Wish creates life-changing experiences for children with critical illnesses. The TPW Real Estate partnership will allow for the granting of five of those wishes for Vermont’s most seriously ill children.

As part of this commitment, TPW Real Estate is sponsoring their first wish for 11-year old Sammy Johnson of Manchester who is battling a brain tumor and has endured two operations to remove it. At a recent Star Wars-themed Wish Reveal at The Perfect Wife Restaurant and Tavern in Manchester, Sammy learned his wish would be coming true with Storm Troopers, Darth Vader, and a special appearance by his favorite character, Chewbacca. Sammy's wish is to visit LegoLand Theme Park and Water Park in Winter Haven, Florida. The Johnson family will leave on their trip inthe spring of this year.

Sammy’s father, Sam Johnson said of the Wish Reveal experience “The whole idea of this trip has really helped Sammy to recover physically and mentally from the trauma of his fifteen-hour surgery. It was truly debilitating. Being able to look forward to his wish is what got him, and us, through it.”

TPW Real Estate was established in 1987. Paul W. Carroccio, President of TPW Real Estate, states, “We love our southern Vermont family and are proud to partner with Make-A-Wish Vermont and help Wish Kids and their families in a time of need.”TPW Real Estate has offices in Manchester, Norwich, and at Stratton Mountain Resort and Okemo Mountain Resorts.

“Make-A-Wish Vermont is proud to partner with TPW Real Estate,” says Make-A-Wish Vermont President & CEO, James Hathaway. “We serve to grant the wish of every eligible child in Vermont and this multi-year support from TPW is a big contribution towards our ability to do that.”
