The 8th Annual Champlain Valley Buddy Walk will take place at Burlington's Battery Park on Sunday, October 8, with on-site registration opening at noon and the walk commencing at 1:00 PM. More than 200 people are expected to attend the event, which is one of 250 Walks across the country this fall to raise awareness and funds for programs that benefit people with Down syndrome and their families.
Online registration for the event is open until noon on 10/7/2017. All participants ages 10 years and older must register for the event and the cost is $8 per person, with the maximum registration cost for a family of $30. On-site registration is also available at Battery Park. Costs for same-day registration increase to $10 / person (with the same $30 cap per family). A waiver must be signed by each participant aged 18 years and older (parents may sign for their children). Those wishing to register on-site are asked to bring cash or a check as we are not able to process credit cards on location. A limited number of t-shirts are also available for purchase at Battery Park.
Donations may be made by first clicking on the "TICKET" button and then entering the donation amount for the ticket type of "DONATION".
This year's Master of Ceremonies will be Megan Carpenter, Morning Anchor for Local 22 and Local 44 News!
