Join Vermont Businesses for Social Responsibility and the Vermont Natural Resources Council for an interactive and informative panel focusing on the economic opportunities for Vermont in combating climate change. Hear from a respected Vermont business owner, a low income advocate, and legislators about the kind of equitable and exciting opportunities climate action provides.

A response to the pressing environmental challenge of climate change is urgently needed. It also presents one of the biggest economic development opportunities Vermont and the world have ever seen - if equitable and done right.

Panelists will frame the current context of climate action in Vermont and outline the policy responses they are working to advance to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, grow our economy and ensure all Vermonters benefit from the transition off of fossil fuels.

Attendees can offer input, ask questions and find out meaningful ways to engage. The event is free and open to the public. Refreshments provided. To RSVP, submit a question for the panelists in advance, or find more information,  click here.

Panelists:
Rep. Mary Hooper of Montpelier

Rep. Tommy Walz of Barre
Dan Hoxworth, Capstone Community Action
Tim Shea, National Life
Moderated by Daniel Barlow, VBSR Public Policy Manager
