Lake Champlain Regional Chamber and Central Vermont Chamber to Host President and CEO of the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston for Public Event
The Lake Champlain Regional Chamber of Commerce and the Central Vermont Chamber of Commerce have partnered to host Boston Fed President & CEO Eric Rosengren who will provide an Economic Outlook on the U.S. economy on May 10, 2017.
The event will be held at the Doubletree Hotel in South Burlington from Noon until 1:30pm. The event is open to the public but seating is limited.
Mr. Rosengren became the 13th president and chief executive officer of the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston on July 23, 2007, after holding senior positions in both the Bank’s economic research and bank supervision functions.
President Rosengren has written extensively on macroeconomics, international banking, bank supervision, and risk management, including articles in leading economics and finance journals. Much of his research, analysis, and public speaking have focused on how problems in the financial sector impact the real economy. Mr Rosengren sits on the Open Markets Committee which is charged with setting interest rates.
Following Mr. Rosengren’s presentation, questions will be taken from the audience. Media questions are not permitted. A transcript of his speech will be made available to the media and media representatives will be allowed to record both the presentation and the audience Q&A.
